Chaos Genius, a Palo Alto, CA-based provider of a DataOps observability platform, raised $3.3M in Seed funding.
The round was led by Elevation Capital with participation from Y Combinator, Charles Zedlewski, Holly Liu, and Sumon Sadhu.
The company intends to use the funds to launch the product for the general public and expand its offering to other data warehouses and data lakehouses, such as Databricks, BigQuery, and Redshift.
Founded in 2021 by Preeti Shrimal and Harshit Surana, Chaos Genius provides visibility and optimization tools for improving data infrastructure efficiency, starting with Snowflake. With it, organizations can reduce their Snowflake spend by getting automated recommendations to optimize their workloads, spot inefficient queries and improve query performance. The platform uses query patterns to analyze Snowflake workloads with millions of queries to spot inefficient queries and provides intelligent recommendations that significantly improve performance.
The company is working with some of the largest Snowflake customers with over $1M+ in annual Snowflake spend and with workloads of up to 100M queries per month.
