Arzeda, the Industry-Leading Protein Design Company, Closes $33 Million Series B Funding Led by Conti Ventures
Arzeda, a Seattle, WA-based protein design company, raised $33M in Series B funding.
The round was led by Conti Ventures, with participation form Lewis & Clark Agrifood, Bunge Ventures, Circulate Capital, OS Fund, Casdin Capital, UMI and Bioeconomy Capital.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate product development and commercialization of new enzymes.
Led by CEO Alexandre Zanghellini, Arzeda makes manufacture proteins to replace ingredients with a high environmental footprint by leveraging a platform that combines physics-based computational protein design, machine learning, and lab automation. In partnership with Fortune 500 companies and industrial leaders, the company develops sustainable products for the food & nutrition, advanced materials, and diagnostics & pharma industries globally.
